General information on donations

Starting point: The Sapana School Foundation and the NGO Sapana Village Development Centre Nepal both are non profit foudation with an neglegtable overhead. The overhead costs are for instance: costs of membership of the Chamber of Commerce, banking costs, offices costs like paper, stamps etc. All members of both are volunteers without payment. The costs that the boardmembers have because of their work for the foundations are only paid back when they have a direct connection to the activities of the foundations and only when an agreement about this was reached ahead of the actions. Travelling costs from the Netherlands to Nepal and vice versa are privately paid and are not charged.

Sapana School Foundation the Netherlands is applying for an ANBI declaration = recognition from the nationals taxes office that we are an organisation for foreign aid. When we are granted this recognition we are not charged paying taxes. And all donations will be tax free. And also all donations given for Sapana School are tax deductable for the donators in the Netherlands.
