Playing and learning at the
same time
The bow can not be bent all the
time. An old Dutch saying and still verry true. Children at school
can learn better when there are also moments to relax. Playing
in the playground also gives a good opportunity to exercise and
deepen the social and emotional development of children. During
the playing they also exercise and use their sense of muscular
movement, they learn to play with other kids and become friends
in their own age group.
At the nursery of Sapana School
and at the pré school (1 to 6 years) there are play grounds
in and outside the building. The play grounds outside the building
for the Nursery, Pré school 1, Pré school 2 and
for Grade 1 (age 6) are situated next to the group rooms. A common
playground for the remaining grades is planned for general use
of the school.
What do we need?
Amongst other things:
instruments to move with like swings and seesaws; instruments
to climb and dangle on; a safe floor to prevent injuries when
falling; sand-pits to make forms and to dig in.
All instruments will be
made by local carpenters.
Costs: 2.000,- = $ 2.740 (USdollars)
